Casablanca Kuvasz Questionnaire

Thank you for your interest in a dog from Casablanca. We hope you will be able to come and visit our home in Northridge, California and meet with the dogs and us. Until then, your answers to the following questions will help us get to know you and find the dog best suited for your family, or even IF a kuvasz is a good match for your lifestyle.

Please answer as fully as you can and add any additional information we should have when considering a dog for you. It's very possible at this point in your life a kuvasz doesn't fit in, it doesn't mean you can never own a kuvasz, it only means when you are looking for a new place to live, or when your children get older, you will need to keep some things in mind if you want to add a kuvasz to your family.

We are also happy to help by evaluating your current situation and making suggestions on what type of property would make a good "kuvasz puppy proof" home. If you would kindly let us know on this questionnaire that you are doing research for a dog at some future time, we will be more than happy to work with you by letting you know when our puppies will be gone and when it will be a good time to talk.

How many people are in your home? Please include roomates, renters, and any full time workers on your property who will need to be OK with the dog on a regular basis.

If there are children who live with you or visit frequently, what are the ages of the children?

Is there a lot of activity in your home (playmates, guests, workers)?

Will the dog be inside or outside or both?

If dog will live outside, what type(s) of shelter is available?

If your yard is not completely fenced, what is your plan for keeping the dog on your property?

If your yard is fenced, what material(s) is the fence made of (wood, wrought iron, chain link, block, vinyl)?

How high are the fences?

From a dog’s viewpoint, what can you see looking out your fences?

What is the size of the yard that the dog will be allowed in?

Could someone walking down the street put his hand through your fence or gate and reach your dog? How about his fingers or a stick?

How many hours on a typical day would the dog be alone?

Can others (workers, meter readers, friends) get into your yard without your knowledge?

Do your neighbors mind a barking dog? What if the dog is barking at 3am at nothing more than a leaf making a strange shadow?

If you rent, do you have your landlord’s permission to have a dog?

Are you interested in showing your dog in conformation at dog shows?

How about performance events such as Obedience or Agility?

May one of our representatives conduct a home visit prior to placing a kuvasz with you?

If your intention is to buy a kuvasz this year or next and you are approved by us, the next step will be signing a reservation contract and placing a deposit that is refundable only if the sex you reserved isn't available. Are you prepared to make this legal agreement?
